Blessed to be at KSU

Here are a few differences between Starbucks Japan and ones in the States.
*May vary in other countries

"Vanilla Bean Frappuccino" are coded VBF in the States, but coded VF since it stands for a "Vanilla Cream Frappuccino" instead.

Decaf Coffee is limited to drip decaf coffee since most Japanese coffee drinkers don't drink decaf/don't even know it exists. (Decaf isn't as culturally known.)

The code "Chocolate Chips" is written CC compared to CHIP.

There's no lemonade ("gasp!").

Also there are no Pumpkin Spice Lattes or Eggnog Lattes (Frappuccinos).

Sugar-free syrups don't exist in Japan. (I don't think they taste good anyways, if you're going to get a Hazelnut latte, might as well get the normal syrup.)

Instead, they have the following delicious new drinks:
Fresh Banana Chocolate Cream Frappuccino and Caramel Cream Frappuccino. It's a seasonal drink, so if you have the chance to drink it, definitely do. The best part about the Frappuccino is that it has one whole fresh banana in it, with chocolate/caramel brownies sprinkled on top. Since we started selling the drink on April 15, the Starbucks store which I work at has sold out every day.

My father had the honor of receiving a 2014 Academic Research Meritorious Service Award from Kyushu Sangyo University for his recently published book, Black Freedom, White Resistance, and Red Menace.

I had the honor of being welcomed along with two other exchange students from Korea by the president and the vice president at a luncheon held on the campus of Kyushu Sangyo University in Fukuoka, Japan.
My father attended the luncheon as well by virtue of being my "academic advisor."

A shot with the President, Yamamoto Iwao of Kyushu Sangyo University
